Leading Educational Institution in Dharwad
This post summarises a ten years of dedicated efforts and programs to build the most holistic educational environment possible — and here’s everything we’ve achieved so far.
To understand what I mean by “Education for Life” and how this concept came to life, do refer to my earlier post. In essence, the purpose is straightforward yet meaningful: to deliver every child a well-rounded learning experience — one that encourages academic, technological, cultural, social, physical, and emotional growth.
Today, the Basavaraddi legacy successfully operates three K–12 institutions in Dharwad:

1. Dedicated and Skilled Teachers
Our biggest asset is our teaching team — deeply knowledgeable, professionally certified, and deeply committed. 2. Commitment to Academic Success
We believe academics must spark curiosity, not just meet syllabus requirements. For Grades 1–5, we go beyond the basics of state textbooks and use Crystal Books by Pearson. The impact has been remarkable — many of our students clear the Navodaya entrance exam without coaching. Learning is further enhanced through our Math Lab, Science Lab, and Outbound Learning programs. For Grades 6–10, we follow NCERT Books for Science and Math, ensuring conceptual clarity and national-level standards.
3. Sports – A Way of Life
At Basavaraddi, sports are not an add-on — they’re a lifeline. Our students actively participate and achieve at state and national levels. (This is where a picture says more than words!). Year-round sports highlights and victories?
4. Building Confidence Through Co-Curriculars
Every year, dozens of our students from Basavaraddi Schools qualify for Cluster, Taluk, and State-level competitions in Prathibha Karanji — an inter-school co-curricular contest.
At the school level, students participate in weekly CCA competitions, starting with house-level rounds and progressing to the school-level finals. This structured approach encourages positive rivalry, teamwork, and consistent skill development.
5. Extracurricular Hobby Programs
Basavaraddi Schools offer six hobby classes: Karate, Classical Dance, Classical Music, Physical Fitness, Coding, and Abacus. Students can select according to their interests and develop a true passion. All classes are led by external faculty who are accomplished experts in their fields.
6. Competitive Exam Preparation
The foundation for excelling in competitive exams is strong aptitude. At Basavaraddi, students are systematically prepared to develop reasoning and quick-thinking skills, enabling them to succeed in Olympiads and other competitive exams. Reasoning is taught best schools in dharwad as a separate subject with its own Olympiad-approved books and assessments.
7. Advanced Learning Batch
Advanced topics in finance and entrepreneurship can be challenging for most students. To address this, a select group is chosen for the Genius Batch, where they study advanced concepts in finance and business management.
8. Cultural Alignment
Every class begins with a short Brahmari exercise to help students achieve a receptive state. Students are taught slokas and vachanas every morning, and all major festivals are celebrated with teachers and peers. This ensures every child remains connected to culture and tradition.
9. Life Skills
Life skills often predict future success more than academics. Through the “Ready for Life” program, students develop entrepreneurship, leadership, communication, empathy, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a structured way, equipping them for life beyond school.
10. Digital Literacy and AI Learning
Through the “AI for You” program and coding lessons starting as early as Class 3, students at Basavaraddi Schools are equipped with end-to-end technological education, including hands-on computer labs. This ensures they stay ahead of the curve in an increasingly tech-driven world.
11. Foundational Learning Support
Not all students grasp at the same pace, and some need personalized assistance. Remedial classes provide dedicated periods for focused attention, ensuring every child achieves basic proficiency — fluency in English and Hindi, and mastery of the four fundamental operations in mathematics.
12. Principles of Education for Life
The principles of “Education for Life” at Basavaraddi Schools have been explained in my previous post. In short, our goal is to foster an environment where every student looks forward to learning and values every moment of their journey. Preserving and strengthening a child’s confidence is our core aim.
Ongoing Mission
Our pursuit is to consistently achieve the feat of being the best school in Dharwad.
